Recovery After Surgery

Stick to soft, nourishing foods like yogurt, smoothies, soups, scrambled eggs, and mashed potatoes for the first few days. Avoid hard, crunchy, spicy, or very hot foods — and skip straws while you heal.
Some swelling is normal for the first two to three days. Apply a cold compress to the cheek in 15-minute intervals, keep your head elevated, and rest — swelling should steadily improve after day three.
